1.Processors and independent companies
Hriday Vanka runs Yuga and decides what personal data Yuga uses and why. That makes us the controller of your data (in India, the data fiduciary).
A processor is a company that handles personal data for us, on our instructions and for no purpose of its own: for example, the company whose computers run our website. Different laws use different names for the same idea: “processor” under the GDPR and UK GDPR, “data processor” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and “service provider” under California law. Many companies also call them subprocessors, because a business customer’s data passes through us to them. This page uses “processor” for all of these.
A processor must sign a contract with us that limits what it may do with the data, requires it to keep the data secure, and requires it to help us respect your rights. It may not sell your data or use it for its own purposes.
Some companies you meet while using Yuga are not our processors. Google and Apple, when you sign in with them, and the App Store and Google Play, when you download the app, act for themselves under their own privacy policies. We list them separately in section 3 so you know who they are and what they see.
2.Companies that process data for us
These are every processor we use today, and the ones we have chosen but not switched on yet.
| Provider | What they do for us | Data involved | Where | Safeguards and terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Cloud (Google LLC, or Google Cloud EMEA Limited where that is the contracting entity) | Runs the website and the Yuga service (Cloud Run); stores accounts (Firestore); keeps request and error logs (Cloud Logging); keeps our secret keys; builds our software. | For accounts: the sign-in provider and your account id there, email address, name, birth year, plan, the date you joined, and how many seconds of AI voice you used each week. For every visitor: IP address, browser or app type, time and address of each request, in request logs. Replies you choose to report: the figure, the reply, your message before it, a reason and an optional note, not linked to you. | United States: the us-central1 region (Iowa) for the service and logs, and the nam5 multi-region (United States) for the account database. | Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Request logs are deleted after 30 days. |
| Google Cloud Vertex AI, Gemini models | The AI that speaks as the figures. For each thing you say, it writes the figure’s reply. We also use it in our own internal quality tests, with conversations we write ourselves. | The text of each turn: what you said (as text, never audio), the conversation so far in that call, the figure’s instructions and source passages, and the language you chose. If you are in teen mode (everyone except signed-in adults who gave their year of birth), a note that you may be a teenager. Not your name, email or account id. | Google’s “global” endpoint: Google may process a request in any region where it offers Gemini, which can be outside the United States. | Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Under Google’s generative AI data governance terms, Google does not use our data to train its models without our permission; it may cache prompts briefly to make answers faster. |
| Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Chirp 3 HD and Gemini 2.5 Flash voices) | Turns the figures’ replies into speech. | The sentence to be spoken. Nothing else about you. | Google Cloud (global and United States endpoints). | Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum. We do not keep the audio. |
| ElevenLabs Not in use yet | Will be used for designed voices: a voice made for each figure from a written description, never copied from a recording. | The sentence to be spoken. Nothing else about you. | ElevenLabs (United States and European Union). | ElevenLabs Data Processing Addendum. We will update this row and the change log on the day it starts. |
| RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) Set up, not switched on yet | Checks in-app purchases with the App Store and Google Play and tells our server what was bought, renewed, cancelled or refunded. | Your Yuga account id (a one-way code, not your name or email), your purchases and the store country, as the stores report them; from the app, purchase receipts and basic device and app information. | United States. | RevenueCat Data Processing Addendum, with Standard Contractual Clauses. We will update this row and the change log on the day it starts. |
| Resend (Resend, Inc.) Set up, not switched on yet | Sends account emails: the warning before an unused account is deleted, and notices of important changes. Never marketing. | Your email address, your name if we have it, and the message. | United States. | Resend Data Processing Addendum, with Standard Contractual Clauses. We will update this row and the change log on the day it starts. |
Your conversations are not stored by Yuga or by any of these companies on our behalf. We send each turn to the AI, send the reply to the voice service, and keep neither. The only exception is a reply you choose to report with Report this reply, which we keep, without anything that identifies you, for 12 months. Our AI and Content Policy page explains how the figures work.
3.Companies that act independently
The companies below are controllers in their own right, not our processors. You have your own relationship with them, they decide for themselves what they do with your data, and their own privacy policies apply. We don’t control them, and they don’t act on our instructions.
| Company | Their role | What they see | Their terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google (Sign in with Google) | Signs you in, if you choose Google. | That you are signing in to Yuga. Google sends us a signed token with your Google account id, email and name. On our website, Google’s sign-in script loads only on the account page and may set Google cookies. | Google Privacy Policy |
| Apple (Sign in with Apple) | Signs you in, if you choose Apple. | That you are signing in to Yuga. Apple sends us a signed token with your Apple account id, and your email (or a private relay address, if you choose to hide it) and, the first time only, your name. | Apple Privacy Policy |
| Apple App Store and Google Play | Distribute the Yuga apps, and (once on sale) sell Plus and minute packs inside them, take payment, and handle renewals, cancellations and refunds, as independent companies. | Your downloads, purchases and payment details, under their own policies. We never receive your card or bank details. | Apple Privacy Policy; Google Privacy Policy |
| Your phone’s speech recognition, in the apps (Apple or Google) | Turns your voice into text while the app is listening, after you tap the talk button. | Your voice. On iPhone, Apple’s speech service; on Android, the system’s, usually Google’s. Yuga never receives your audio, only the text. Our website has no conversations and never uses your microphone or your browser’s speech service. | Your phone maker’s or speech provider’s privacy policy, for example Apple or Google |
4.Not in use
Our software can work with the provider below, but we do not use it, so it receives no data from Yuga:
- Anthropic (Claude models), through Google Cloud Vertex AI. Our code can switch the figures to Claude. If we turn it on, it would receive the same conversation text Gemini receives now, through Google Cloud. We will add it to the table above at least 30 days before that happens.
We don’t use analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels, data brokers or marketing email services. The website’s fonts are served from our own server, not from a font service.
5.Where the data goes
Most of what we process is held in the United States. The AI model may answer from any region where Google offers it. If you live somewhere else, this means your data leaves your country.
For data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, our contracts with these providers include the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK’s addendum to them, or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified. For data from India, we transfer data only to countries the Indian government has not restricted. Our Privacy Policy explains transfers in full.
6.How we choose providers
Before a provider handles personal data for Yuga, we check that:
- we need it: we give each provider only the data its job requires, and nothing else;
- it will sign a data processing agreement that meets the laws that apply to us, including terms for transfers between countries;
- it keeps data secure, with encryption, access controls and independent security audits (such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2 reports);
- it does not use our users’ data to train its own models or for advertising, or lets us turn that off;
- it tells us about security incidents quickly, and lets us delete data when we ask.
We review our providers when their terms change and at least once a year.
7.How we tell you about changes
We will update this page at least 30 days before a new provider starts processing personal data for Yuga, and add an entry to the change log below saying what changed and when.
The exception is an urgent replacement: for example, if a provider has a security problem or stops its service and we must move quickly to keep Yuga running safely. Then we will update this page as soon as we can, and explain why the change could not wait.
If you object to a new provider, write to us at support@foundationalcreations.com before it starts. We will tell you what it would receive about you, and you can always delete your account. You can also use Yuga without an account, in which case nothing about you is stored. Your rights are explained in our Privacy Policy.
8.Change log
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| 28 October 2026 | First version of this page. Processors: Google Cloud, Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. ElevenLabs listed as not in use yet. Web payment processor not chosen yet. |
| 25 October 2026 | RevenueCat added as not in use yet (purchase records for Yuga Plus and minute packs). Google Cloud Vertex AI will also sum up memory of past calls for visitors who turn it on (Plus). |
| 23 October 2026 | Yuga is published by an individual developer. Resend added as not in use yet (account emails). The web payment processor row removed: nothing is for sale, and any future paid plans are planned through the App Store and Google Play. |
| 17 October 2026 | Conversations with the figures now take place only in the iPhone and Android apps. Your browser’s speech service is no longer involved, because the website no longer has conversations or uses your microphone. No change to our processors. |
